What stops Android users from switching to iOS

After the release of iOS 9, Apple released their first Android app called Move to iOS, designed to help users “phones” to transfer data from their devices on the iPhone. Later, Tim cook said that 30% of iPhone buyers came into the Apple ecosystem with a mobile platform Google, and wanted to do it the easiest way possible. But if new customers had previously bought apps in Google Play, now they’ll have to buy them in the App Store. It is perhaps for this reason, some users are not moving to iPhone? If so, how can I fix it?

The transfer of content from Google Play should not cause special difficulties. The user simply needs to download the iOS version of Google Play Music, Google Play Movies, Google Play Books and other programs can then use your library to a new device. Free apps, apps with in-app purchases and subscriptions is also easy to find in the store on a competing platform.

As for paid apps, they are, apparently, much less. The need for migration of such programs depends on several factors.

1. Many of the defectors from Android paid applications that you want to migrate?

If the average user buys a lot of applications, this greatly complicate his transition. If he in most cases is free and freemium developments, then no problems will arise.

2. Do the owners of Android on the ability to transfer paid apps?

If the developers and users consider smartphones as computers, in this case, will be cross-platform options for possible transfer of paid software in both PC and Mac platforms.

But in that case, if users and developers are smartphones like the consoles, then the transfer purchases is not necessary. Look at the Xbox One and PS4: when changing console owners there is no way to use old shopping.

3. How will be implemented the transition from one OS to another?

If the transfer is a paid software from one operating system to another becomes a barrier for the “switcher” from Android, which expect the emergence of convenient ways, the best author of the solution to this problem should be Apple itself. For example, a company may allow developers to use iTunes Connect in the process of transfer paid purchases. The Move to iOS application will offer some kind of promotional code you have to activate by purchasing the identical software in the App Store. Of course, you can develop other ways of implementing transfer purchases.

The transition to iPhone

The objective of Apple is to create tools for quick and easy transfer data from Android, like the app’s Move to iOS. The same applies to developers who want to keep loyal customers. But still it remains a mystery how many soft buy the potential “switcher” from Android and how much they are waiting for the easiest ways to transfer paid apps.

If you are owner of Android devices, and reflect on the changing ecosystem, what is your attitude to re-purchase software for the Apple platform?
