The Google Photos app will remind you that you photographed on this day a few years ago

Google Photo launches a new feature that allows you to remember what happened in the life of a user in a particular day a few years ago. This was reported in the company’s official blog on Google+.

The application user can see the photos or videos, which he took, for example, five years ago. The content of the previous years will be displayed only for humans, but he can share it with your friends by posting on social networks.

Every time you open the mobile app the user will be shown the footage you shot on that date in previous years. These tips about previous shots and the rollers are shown as cards in the “Assistant”. On the cards may appear collages and videos taken on this day a few years ago.

Apparently, Google “inspired” by the Timehop app with a similar function that allows users to collect their activity for a specific day from the past on different social networks, including Facebook,, Instagram, Flickr, Dropbox, and scoring 6 million downloads. Testing functions in the company began in 2010.

Mobile app Google Photo was released in may of this year. It uses Google’s own facial recognition software, allowing you to sort the pictures in automatic mode and is more convenient to look for the right photos, for example all images of the user with his children, even if he didn’t give up on them no marks.

While Google has not been without technology for image processing, for example, functions to instantly improve the image. Also the application provides the function to easily create albums, photo essays, collages, animated collections. Footage can also be viewed by day, month and year.
