Desktop Chrome will put the video playback to pause before switching to the tab

Desktop Chrome recently shows which tab is playing audio or video. Thus, the user easier to navigate a large number of open web pages. However, Google decided to make life easier for users.

According to the developers, this is done so that the video and audio does not turn on automatically when restoring sessions, as well as to “preclude premature playback of digital content”. The function will appear in the public version of Chrome 46.

This release of Chrome, among other things, will bring a lot of optimizations and improvements aimed at increasing productivity browser on the Mac. The program will be extremely sparingly to computer resources: the browser no longer sets a high priority for background tabs after they are not used for a certain time. Thus render the background tabs will be given a lower priority, reducing the frequency of their “awakening”. Google has also reduced the CPU usage by reducing the frequency of requests the browser to it.
