A well-known blogger Roland Quandt published in his Twitter account information about the price of a new flagship phone Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. According to the insider, referring to the directories of retailers, the phones will be available in three colors and will go with a difference of 100 euros.
According to a source from the European trade network, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will go on sale at a price of €799 (around 49 000), and the older version with a display larger diagonal will cost €899 (about 55,000 rubles). For comparison, South Korea’s top smartphones of the previous year – the Galaxy S7 and S7 the edge – was initially sold at a price of €700 and €800 respectively.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ needs to obtain the 5.8 – and 6.2-inch AMOLED displays respectively. Both screens will be curved with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, they will be able to recognize the user as the display of the iPhone 7. The main camera of the smartphone will be a 12-megapixel, front – 8-megapixel.
The hardware basis of the novelties will be the processor Snapdragon or Exynos 835 8895, 4 or 6 GB RAM, 64 GB of internal flash memory UFS 2.1. The presentation of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be held March 29 in new York and London at a special event Unpacked. Under the new plans Samsung sales of new products will start on April 28, not April 21, as previously expected.
The smartphones will be available in black, silver and purple versions. Apparently, Samsung is going to promote a new color in the smartphone market.
