Saurik releases Cydia Impactor is a tool for recovering iPhone and iPad with jailbreak without upgrading OS

Contact us with all that’s happened at least once: jailbreak’ers have the device on a certain firmware, the last to be compatible with the jailbreak. And we need to restore it to initial state. What will happen as a result? In most cases (except when you’re holding an old gadget with the ability to rollback to an older version of firmware) the device will be updated to the latest version of the operating system. The problem is that after this update, the jailbreak will be lost.

And here to the rescue comes a new app in Cydia Impactor. This development of the Creator of the jailbreak store Jay “Saurik” Freeman allows you to “reset” jailbreak’ers device firmware that is currently installed on the device. For example, if you have 8.3, Cydia Impactor will return you to the same 8.3, pre-clearing of all the excess. This will not be a full reset, as in the latter case, you are forced to update to the latest firmware. This will reset extra that might be needed if the device has become slow, or have any other similar problems.

Requirements necessary Cydia Impactor for a successful restore:

  • 5-10 minutes of time.
  • backup all data on the device.
  • connecting to the Internet.
  • enough charge on the device.
  • the presence of a SIM card to activate and password from the account.

So, again – Cydia Impactor just “throw” your device, retaining the current installed firmware version. It does not require any SHSH signatures or APTicket hashes. According to the developer, ideal to remove all unnecessary gadget, allowing at any time to repeat the procedure of jailbreak.
