Last month, Russia had sold about 92 000 of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This is reported by “Vedomosti” with reference to the partner company by several mobile retailers and a person close to the company-partner of several manufacturers.
In October in the country in total it has sold just under 2.5 million smartphones, which allowed the iPhone 7 to occupy 3.7% of the Russian market, or about 3.5%, according to other sources. The most popular model of Apple is the iPhone 7 with 128 GB of flash memory – per month were sold in Russia 35 000 of these gadgets. And in the category of premium smartphones (25 000 rubles) iPhone 7 and 7 Plus took 36.5% of the market.
While Russian retailers have noted a much higher interest in the iPhone 7 compared to last year’s iPhone 6s. The latest gadget made its debut in the country on 9 October 2015, and in November, Russia had sold about 44 000 iPhone 6s and 6s Plus all modifications. And in terms of units, sales of the latter were almost 46% lower than the iPhone 7 in October 2016.
The representatives of “Svyaznoy” note that the iPhone 7 has become one of the most popular smartphones sold by the retailer in October. The high popularity of iPhone in new colors — black matte and black onyx. And the popularity of the iPhone 7 Plus impact, including a dual camera device.
Similar opinion is shared by representatives of Euroset and M. video. And the last retailer, according to its own estimates, sold every fourth iPhone of the new line in Russia. And the demand for the iPhone 7 really has exceeded the sales of iPhone 6s. Although “M. video” note that models with a 4.7-inch screen, enjoy a higher demand than devices with a display diagonal of 5.5 inch (iPhone 7 Plus), due to its versatility.
At the same time, the President of “Euroset” Alexander Malis reminded that the iPhone 7 each modification became the best-selling Apple smartphone in Russia. Sale iPhone 5s with 16 GB of memory appeared on the market in autumn 2013 in October 2016, was less than 68 000 units. And it accounted for almost 20% of all sales of Apple devices in Russia (and in September — about 44%).
