Video chat Duo strengthens its position among apps and products for Android smartphones. Now Google Duo will be available from the contacts list, reports Android Police.
As might have noticed some visitors of the presentation of the Google Pixel 2, the option of video call Duo now sits right on the call screen, and then switch the mode to video chat will be possible directly during the conversation.
The connection is like a normal video call, but using a database user contacts the Duo. In the current version of the application, this option is not provided, the exact release date of the updates is not yet known.
The new version of the Google Phone, the video call icon will appear in the phone and in the call list.
To make a call to a user of the Google Duo, you can use such applications as:
- Phone, version 13.0 and higher the option of video call appear in the calls list or the search;
- Contacts, version 2.1 and above — option of video call will be indicated next to the contact name;
- Messages, version 2.6 and above is the video call option will be added to correspondence.
By default, the video connection will occur through a cellular operator. To use the services of the Duo, the app must be installed both subscribers.
