A resident of Perm region has kidnapped via mobile banking 9.5 million rubles

A resident of Perm Krai Alla Fedoseyev developed the scheme of massive theft of money from users by means of service “mobile Bank”. This allowed her to withdraw 9.5 million rubles from the accounts of 44 people. The method is based on buying SIM cards from their owners.

The Prosecutor’s office of the city of Krasnokamsk of the Perm region adopted the conclusion on criminal case concerning the local resident accused of stealing money using the “mobile Bank”. To implement their criminal schemes Fedoseeva bought a SIM card, and then asked for service centers operators information about the services connected to the previous owners numbers. If the former owner used the mobile Bank, the intruder was able to make transactions with their accounts.

The investigators found that Fedoseeva thus stole more than 9.5 million rubles to each victim causing damage to the amount from 20 000 to 45 000 rubles. Among the victims there are not only the residents of the Perm region, but also citizens from Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Khakassia Republic, Chelyabinsk and Tyumen oblasts, and Krasnodar Krai. The victims filed claims for compensation for material damage.

The investigation revealed that in 2012-2014 Fedoseeva acquired from the owners of the junk SIM cards to different operators by placing ads on the purchase in social networks. After that she asked for service centers operators information about the previous users. The request sent from the personal Cabinet on the website of the operator.

Fedoseyev interested in information about the service “mobile banking”, which was used by the previous owners SIM card. Mobile banking is SMS service through which you can get information on credit cards, as well as make transactions with mobile phone. Since many owners offer, selling the SIM card, forgot to cancel the service, Fedoseyev was given the opportunity to move their money.

Fedoseyeva was already brought to trial for Commission of similar crimes in 2015 and 2016. In the first case, she was sentenced to a fine in amount of 100 000 rubles, and the second released under the Amnesty.

Currently 20 volumes of the criminal case sent to the Krasnokamsk city court for consideration on the merits.
