Samsung called to the presentation of Galaxy Note 7

The new flagship phablet the Galaxy Note 7 will be presented on 2 August at a special Samsung event. Such a conclusion can be drawn from the invitation sent Wednesday to reporters. The company confirmed that the new product really will miss the designation “Note 6” and will be called the Galaxy Note 7.

The invitation says that August 2 will be showing the new smartphone at the event Unpacked in 2016. The presentation will be held simultaneously in new York, London and Rio de Janeiro.

“First of all, you might be wondering why the smartphone is called Galaxy instead of the Galaxy Note6 Note7. First, Galaxy Note7 complement the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, and unifies our product portfolio. Second, Galaxy Note7 will minimize confusion in the latest mobile technology Samsung and will provide full compliance with the Galaxy S smartphone,” reads the press release of Samsung.

No details of the South Korean giant did not disclose. A large part of the leaks and rumors attributed the new 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels hardware platform Snapdragon 821 or brand chipset Samsung Exynos 8893. The device will also get 6 GB of RAM, 12-megapixel main camera, battery capacity of 4000 mAh, the scanner of the iris and the enhanced functionality of the S Pen stylus.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be the same level of protection against water and dust, that of the flagship Galaxy S7 — according to the IP68 standard. This means that the gadget can withstand immersion in a meter and a half in half an hour.
