At the presentation Wednesday, Apple introduced a new wireless headphones company AirPods. The company are proud of a record autonomy of the device: the headset battery will last for 5 hours of continuous music playback, and if you put it in brand case 15 minutes charge gets you 3 hours of battery life.
AirPods are characterized by the function of fast charging. For example, if you forgot before leaving the house to charge the headset, enough for a few minutes to put them in the charger case. “Need a quick charge? Just 15 minutes in the case – and you can listen to music for another 3 hours” – say at Apple.
Apple says the following battery parameters:
- AirPods with cover: 24 hours of music listening and 11 hours of talktime.
- AirPods (per charge): 5 hours of music and 2 hours in the talk mode.
- 15 minutes in the case provide 3 hours of music or more than one hour in talk mode.
Apple has indicated that it tested the autonomy of the AirPods on the control samples paired with the iPhone 7. The playlist consisted of 358 songs from the iTunes Store are in AAC 256 kbps. the volume Level was set at 50%. Testing consisted of full battery discharge AirPods when playing audio to stop playing from one headphone.
High autonomy AirPods were achieved through processor W1, specially developed by Apple. It provides a more reliable wireless connection than analogue and allows the headset to be sound and uninterrupted.
