The social network “VKontakte” announced the launch of group video calls. At the start, up to eight users can communicate simultaneously, they plan to increase the number over time.
The work on the function became known last week, but now everything has been announced and officially launched.
To start a group video call, in the application you need to select a conversation, click on the handset icon and select the users you want to call.
Now video calls are the only way to hold meetings with colleagues, see relatives and participate in online classes, while maintaining a self-isolation mode. We will quickly increase the functionality of the new service so that in the fall in group video calls it would be easy to organize classes for an entire class or student group.

The application must be updated to the latest version. All users can accept an invitation to group video calls, but the opportunity to create chats and invite people there will be available for several days (I don’t have that treasured button for Ilya Kichaev, we’re waiting).
