The Russian developers of the company “swift” decided to use Telegram messenger to communicate with home devices. First steel counters of hot and cold water.
“Swift” develops solutions that allow you to remotely collect data on the consumption of water, electricity or heat. It uses a special modem that takes readings and sends them to the information centre. The data, broken down by hours, can be viewed via the web interface. Readings also come to the apartment owner by SMS.

Solutions “swift” allow users to remotely collect hourly data on water consumption from metering devices and transfer them to the information centre where you can see the detailed dynamics of water use for the period. Integration with Telegram allows you to get the consumption data without entering in the information system directly to your smartphone.
“Our goal was to give users a simple way to obtain water meter readings of mobile phone. To develop a separate app for mobile devices is costly and time consuming. We went the easy route — used API Telegram. The user does not need to get used to the new interface, it can perform the query in a familiar messenger simple language,” explained the company.
In order to know the water consumption for the month need to send a request in Telegram, typing “water Consumption for June”. After a few seconds, the query entered comes with a detailed response by the water flow from each metering device.
