As you know, the most grossing apps in the App Store are those that are distributed by Freemium model. It is not surprising that more and more developers are switching to “evil” and prefer to do your ON the shareware, adding in-app purchases. Your negativity on this account was expressed by American rapper Kanye West.
Instead of a lump sum to pay for a good app for themselves or their children, business users every day to “bring” to the developers. Applications for mobile devices have long since turned into a huge casino where everyone tries to put the user on “roulette” and to strip. Of course, there really is interesting and properly balanced freemium game – but people may overlook them, becoming mired in another mediocre strategy, where for each hut requires real money. Good, Apple needs to somehow influence the situation.
Artist and producer Kanye West, faced with a similar problem, publicly protested. In its Twitter account, the rapper has published a very unflattering reviews about games on the iPad. His message is “layknuli” about 200,000 times.
“Damn all developers of children’s games that have in-app purchases!!!”, the angry West.
“Yes it boggles the mind!!! We give the iPad to our children, and every 5 minutes we receive the notification!!!”, writes the rapper.
“I implore you: if the game was invented for two-year-old, let him have fun, so parents could just relax,” he demanded Kanye.
It would seem that the rapper is right, after all in-app purchases can play havoc with an unprepared user. Last year the Federal trade Commission ordered Apple to refund $32.5 million to parents of underage buyers. If the child is installed on an iOS device app, or to acquire virtual money and virtual things, and the system is not asked for his password, then the parents have the right to receive compensation.
Then Apple just added to iOS additional warning when making in-app purchases. After the purchase of the iPhone and iPad reported about the successful transaction and that within 15 minutes, the system will not re-request a password for new purchases.
The righteous anger of the West, however, it can be called cunning. Popular game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, the rights to which are owned by the wife of musician, is shareware and has built-in buy.
