The office of the Federal Antimonopoly service of Chuvashiya has acknowledged inappropriate outdoor advertising mobile operator Tele2 because of the slogan “We are cheaper”, today reported the press service of the Ministry. The case against the company was filed on the basis of the application of Vasilica.
“The company (LLC “t2s mobile” Tele2) had not submitted evidence that at the time of distribution under review advertising is the cheapest operator,” said chief of Department of control of authorities and the advertising Department of the Chuvashia Galina Chagin.
She stressed that the slogan “We are cheaper” is a comparative to the cost of the services of Tele2, but is understood to be “ambiguous”. “For the consumer it remains unclear what specific communication services Tele2 – mobile communications, SMS, high-speed Internet – cheaper than comparable services in other operators”, – said Chagin.
According to UFAS, advertising was installed on the outer structure in July-August this year. Currently, the case was referred to the authorized person of the Chuvash anti-monopoly Commission for initiation of proceedings about an administrative offence.
In a press-service UFAS across Chuvashiya has specified that in infringement of the law on advertising, in accordance with article 14.3 of the administrative code officer faces a fine in the amount from 4 to 20 thousand rubles, and for legal entities – from 100 000 to 500 000 rubles.

In addition, the operator subsidises the connection of subscribers on the MNP (mobile number portability). During the first week of Tele2 connect 150 000 subscribers in Moscow and the Moscow region.
