Apple Pay officially earned in Belarus

Payment service Apple Pay earned for Belarusian users of the iPhone and Apple Watch. It is reported resource according to which the payment system has begun testing “Alfa-Bank”.

It is noted that Apple Pay appeared simultaneously in Belarus and Russia — in October of last year. However, Belarusian banks did not support this system. In order to add money to the virtual card, local users had to have Russian map or a purse in system “Yandex. Money.”

“In order to use Apple Pay, you need to have a virtual card еCard and link it to the account”, — explained in the Bank. However, the transfer to the card is 1% plus $ 1 (0.8 euros, 40 Russian rubles).

The system will work as еCard — technically — a Russian map. The Bank will release it in three currencies — dollars, euros and Russian rubles.

The specialists of “Alfa-Bank” noted that dual conversion will not. “The money will be converted from dollars immediately in Belarusian rubles, in other countries will also be direct conversion into the local currency,” the company said.

In Russia, Apple Pay works with 4 Oct 2016. The first step is to use the service only holders of MasterCard — first savings Bank, as of 1 November about the launch of Apple Pay also MasterCard have announced a number of major banks and companies.
