The company has determined that some MacBook Pro battery can fail. This, in turn, will lead to the expansion of the battery and subsequent damage. Fortunately, there is no security threat, but Apple will still replace the problematic item.
The program involves 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar is released in the period from October 2016 to October 2017. The right to replacement is determined by the product serial number. If you have such a Mac, on the Apple website you can see exactly if it fits the program.
To check this, you need to enter the serial number of the computer in a special field on the website. The number can be found by clicking on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and selecting about this Mac. In addition, it is printed on the packaging of the laptop and its case.
If everything fits, the owner of the problem MacBook Pro should contact an authorized service provider Apple.
