Xiaomi has introduced a “smart” pillow with heating, massage and stereo speakers. All this can be controlled from a smartphone.
The pillow is made of natural latex. There are two sizes: the female 60 × 34 × 5–8 cm weighs 1 kg and the male 60 × 34 × 7–11 cm and weighs 1.2 kg. The pillow has a special shape: its height is increased in the neck, which provides better support for the head – for example, in the female version the height changes from 5 to 8 cm, and in the male version from 7 to 11 cm.
In the middle is a neck recess with a heating element and three pulse emitters. The manufacturer claims six temperature conditions: from 38 to 53 degrees Celsius. There are 15 massage modes: emitters generate pulses with a frequency of 1000 Hz, which are absolutely harmless to health.
Two speakers with bone conduction are used, that is, those lying nearby should not hear your music. Also, the pillow is able to track the duration and quality of sleep: the analysis will be available in a proprietary application.
Now the “smart” pillow is available for pre-order on the YouPin crowdfunding platform for 299 yuan (about 42 dollars or 2700 rubles). The fundraising has not yet been completed, but the necessary amount has already been collected, and twice. Deliveries are scheduled for mid-December.
