Steve Wozniak told why people are not afraid of the uprising of the machines

People that drive technological progress sometimes demonstrate a superstitious fear of artificial intelligence and robots. One of the legends of recent times, the names of the founders of Google are included in the so-called “untouchables list” in the software companies in case of a “revolt of cars”.

He believes that defined the so-called “Moore’s law” pace of the development of modern microelectronics is quite slow to ever create an artificial intelligence comparable to a human. Moreover, artificial systems do not possess intuition and other features of human thinking that lead to its superiority. Artificial intelligence is a human partner, but not his master.

Previously, his concern about the emergence of intelligent machines made by the British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking and successful entrepreneur, founder of companies SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk. The latter has compared working on artificial intelligence is summoning the demon. “Like in those stories where the characters with Holy water, draw a pentagram and call it. They believe that it will be able to control the demon, but that didn’t work,” said Musk. He is of the opinion that the machines need to limit, not giving them the full freedom of development. Musk even undertook to Finance the development in this area to at least partially control the development of artificial intelligence.

Previously Steve Wozniak said that against the thinking machines sees himself as inferior beings. “Whether we become gods or, conversely, will take place Pets? Or get down to a few degrees below, turning to artificial intelligence in something like ants? I don’t know exactly,” he said.
