Rutube presented its own app for the new Apple TV

Russian video service Vimeo has launched its own app for the new Apple TV. The official client available at tvOS App Store from today.

“We are pleased to be one of the first Russian video sites have launched their own application for users of the new Apple TV. App Rutube developed on the basis of the new operating system tvOS and has a simple and intuitive interface – the user can navigate in the directory and search for content in a few clicks. Application adapted for Apple TV that allows users to play video, use gestures, familiar to users of iPhone and iPad, as well as significantly reduce the time required to download the application.

In the application directory Rutube – the popular projects of TV channels TNT, TV-3, “Friday!”, 2×2 “Match TV”, a collection of feature films, as well as collections of UGC content and the channels of the videoblogger. The directory also includes highlights of the world Championships, music videos and news.

Before the App Store came out the app of the TV channel “Rain”. Today it is the only Russian TV channel that has an app for Apple’s set-top box.
