Logitec introduced an external sound card with Lightning-based

The company Logitec has announced an external sound card for adherents of high-quality sound. One of the device’s features LHP-192 is the presence of the digital signal processor and built-in headphone amplifier. The latter has a power of 30 milliwatts per channel and allows you to use the load headphones with impedance up to 150 Ohms.

The gadget is equipped with Lightning interface focused on users iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. According to the manufacturer, it provides “Studio quality sound”. Primary LHP-192 is a high-quality digital-to-analog Converter AK4430 with the following characteristics: total harmonic distortion -91 dB (0,07 %), the frequency range of 5 Hz to 96 KHz dynamic range is 104 dB.

The device has a standard audio Jack. Chase watts in the case of headphones, the manufacturer did not: the final volume is much more dependent on such characteristics as the sensitivity of the headphones rather than the amplifier power rating. The task of the latter is to produce rated power on any musical material, without “sagging”.

Power LHP-192 receives directly from an iPhone or iPad. The amplifier is equipped with push-button remote control to control basic functions of the player, and the main body of a clip for attaching to clothing. The dimensions of the gadget are only 36 × 11,4 × 45 mm, weight – 40 g

The cost of new items is not reported, the start of sales is scheduled for December. To work with device requires iOS version higher than 8.3.
