To work with Apple Pay Cash, you will need ID

Those who want to use Apple Pay in Cash iOS 11, will have to provide Apple ID: driver’s license or passport.

Lines of code in the latest beta version of iOS 11 was found the mention of Apple Pay Cash and the need to scan ID card to work with it. If positive ID is not possible, then access to a function of transferring money via iMessage will be blocked. However, all other operations with Apple Pay, the Cash balance will remain available.

There is a suspicion that the need for this procedure is connected with the age limit. It is unknown at what age you can use Apple Pay Cash, but Apple is clearly interested in the fact that children do not have access to Bank accounts of their parents or don’t become a victim of fraud.

Apple Pay is a virtual Cash account in the manner of PayPal. The money from the account you can pay in stores and send them to friends via iMessage.

The final version of iOS 11 will be released in the fall along with the new iPhone 8, iPhone 7s iPhone 7s Plus.
