The publication Macotakara has released a new report with alleged changes in iPad Pro 2018. Among these changes is the rejection of the headphone Jack.
3.5 mm audio Jack is not installed in the iPhone starting in 2016. Two years after this change in smartphones, Apple decided that the iPad Pro it is also not necessary. Probably wired headphone will need to connect using the Lightning adapter to 3.5 mm, which will be included.
According to Macotakara, the new tablets will be smaller than their predecessors. Most likely, this is due to the decrease of the framework around the screen.
- iPad Pro 10.5 in 2018 of 247.5 mm × 178,7 mm × 6 mm (model dimensions 2017: of 250.6 mm × estimated at 174.1 mm × 6.1 mm).
- iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2018 — 280 mm × 215 mm × 6.4 mm (model dimensions 2017: 305,7 mm × 220,6 mm × 6.9 mm).
Due to the fact that the Face ID will not be able to operate in a horizontal orientation, Macotakara suggests that Apple will focus on the vertical orientation of the tablet. Because of this, the smart connector for the keyboard can be moved down next to Lightning.
Presentation of the new iPad and iPhone will be held in September. Apple has registered a new device in Russia.
