Apple is trying in good faith to extend the service life of the old iPhone, optimizing new iOS releases to work on older models. A recent example is the release of iOS 10, which became available on devices 2012. Agree that the possibility of the iPhone 5 today exceeds that of the Samsung Galaxy S3, which came out at the same time.
The speed of transition to the new OS Samsung to leader very far. However, Seoul is not in a hurry to address this issue. The South Korean giant only days later, 5 months after the release began to spread the update of Android system 7.0 Nougat for the flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. And that is not without problems, an update had to be withdrawn due to a detected error.
Many owners of Samsung smartphones wonder how soon they will receive the update and will get it at all, because the device company is not only Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, but also a lot of other models.
As it turned out, in the list of smartphones that will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat, there is no budget model. Among the lucky ones included Galaxy A3 (2016 and 2017), Galaxy A5 (2016 and 2017), Galaxy A7 (2016 and 2017), Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9/A9 Pro, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Active Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Tab tablet S2. That is all quite expensive model is still current and previous generation.
But no representative of family of Galaxy J is not in the list, although these devices are very important to the company. It is not excluded that at least the 2016 model year will get the update, but, apparently, it can not count.
