Roskomnadzor sent the company Zello, which is developing the eponymous a pp-a walkie talkie, a notice of violation of the law “On information, information technologies and protection of information” and threatened to block the service. The company wrote on his page in Facebook.
The document States that the company did not notify officials about the beginning of the activity for which Roskomnadzor will block the service if the breach is not rectified within three days.
Zello is a cross-platform mobile app, with which you can instantly send messages without retyping and without the distraction of reading. Messenger allows you to chat with friends or use public channels to find new interlocutors across the globe. According to Zello, the messenger used more than 100 million people worldwide.
Service Zello designed for smartphones, it allows you to use your device as a mobile radio. The application is popular among activists, including protesters truckers — they use it to coordinate actions.
Interestingly, the application-Zello walkie-talkie was created by immigrants from Russia, however, the development project is in the U.S. city of Austin.
