Failure of service of cards Visa of the savings Bank was associated with the connection of payment systems Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. This was announced by company OpenWay, dealing with automated payment services. Contractor credit institution apologized.
“As part of the connection of new services mobile contactless payments, Apple Pay and Samsung Pay for Visa cardholders of Sberbank in the night from 23 to 24 April, the part of the operations by Visa cards were unavailable. The reason for this was associated with a change in the routing of requests and were quickly eliminated by the Bank’s employees in close cooperation with the technical support of the company”, — stated in the message.
The contractor of the service apologized to the clients of Sberbank for the inconvenience.
The statement of the press service of Sberbank became the answer to the complaint of one of clients. He said that he could not transfer money via SMS service of the Bank and online application, as well as to withdraw cash at ATMs around the house.
Earlier this week it was reported that the number of services of Sberbank in the night of April 24 has failed. Card has not been serviced in retail stores and ATMs. Around 06:00 Moscow time card service has been restored in full. The next day — on April 25 to holders of Visa cards from Sberbank became available payment system, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
In October of last year, Sberbank has launched Apple Pay in conjunction with MasterCard. This mobile payment system allows to pay for purchases with your smartphone via NFC (Near Field Communication — “near field communication”) using a special program. It can be used for payments in stores and on the Internet.
