Apple has agreed to lease its first office building in San Francisco, reports the San Francisco Business Journal. Premises with a total area of 7 000 square meters, located in the South of Market street, will be used as offices for employees.
According to the source, Apple is planning to transfer some of their employees to new locations in the third quarter of this year. “Apple is going to start moving to San Francisco towards the end of the third quarter. It is ideal for the manufacturer of the iPhone and iPod, because it is located in the business district of the city”, – the newspaper writes.
According to the newspaper, the new premises Apple can accommodate up to 500 employees. The building has both indoor spaces and offices, organized by type of open space. Monthly rent of the office building will cost the Corporation $66 per square foot.
At the moment Apple is building a second campus at 13,000 employees. The erection of the building with circular architecture began last year. At the moment the construction is in the active phase: the site is a large number of building materials and machinery.
Four-storey design will complement the current main office of Apple in the street Infinite Loop, for 2 800. Corporate Apple town is situated on 2.8 million sq. m.
