Apple bought a company known Metaio, a leading development and improvement of augmented reality technology for computers and mobile devices.

Metaio, a German company with its headquarters in Munich and branches in San Francisco and Dallas. in 2013 she presented the product Metaio SDK that allows developers to use the content without prior encryption to implement augmented reality in a number of applications.

Commenting on the purchase information in Metaio, Apple announced that the Corporation from time to time acquires smaller technology companies but, as a rule, discuss your goals and plans. It is expected that the development of Metaio will find the implementation in a map service in iOS 9. The technology will work with Apple Maps, displaying with the help of augmented reality points of interest.
