The Moscow government has authorized the rally “against the law Spring”

The mayor’s office agreed to a rally for the abolition of anti-terrorism amendments of the Deputy Irina Spring. This was announced on his page in Facebook one of the organizers of Leonid Volkov.

Event “against the law of Spring” is scheduled for July 26. According to Volkov, Moscow city hall has offered the opposition to postpone action with the Slavic area to the area Yauza gate with the downsizing from 2 000 to 1 000 people. The location was moved because of safety requirements. “We have already sent to the government of Moscow the consent”, — said Volkov.

According to the application, the meeting scheduled “In defense of 23 and 24 articles of the Constitution, against Internet censorship and Internet surveillance, Internet freedom in Russia”, reports “Interfax”.

The rally, according to Volkov, supported “Roskomsvoboda”, the Pirate party of Russia, also in support of the demands of the rally called the Internet Ombudsman Dmitry Marinichev. Voting for the abolition of the “law of Spring” is on the website of the Russian public initiative, a petition signed by over 66,000 people. On the website Change.org for the abolition of the amendments voted almost 550 000 people.

Anti-terrorism package of laws designed Spring in conjunction with the head of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Viktor Ozerov was passed by the Parliament on 24 June and signed by the President of Russia in early July. The document comes into force on 20 July. The document, in particular, provides for life imprisonment for international terrorism, criminal liability for terrorism since the age of 14, as well as the obligation of Telecom operators, messengers and social networks to store all the information about the content of conversations and the correspondence of users and to decrypt data on request of the security services.

Some of the amendments will take effect from 1 July 2018. This concerns requirements to the operators, messengers and social networks for six months to store all the information about the content of conversations and the correspondence of users as well as to postal companies: they will be obliged to install special equipment to eliminate the mailing of weapons, explosives and other prohibited items.
