LG started selling the smart watch, the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition with the possibility of calls

LG announced the start of sales of “smart” watches Watch Urbane 2nd Edition. It is the first watch running Android Wear with a cellular modem with the ability to make calls. Moreover, there exists a support of networks of third (3G) and fourth (4G/LTE) generations.

LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition will begin arriving in stores this month in the U.S. and Korea, and then the key regions of Europe, Asia and the CIS. The model has a round POLED screen with a diameter of 1.38 inch resolution 480 x 480 pixels (348 ppi). The body is made of stainless steel and the strap is made of TPSiV elastomer, or leather.

Gadget installed inside the platform Snapdragon 400 with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz, 768 MB of RAM and a flash drive of 4 GB. The battery capacity is equal to 570 mA•h, adapters features Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi.

The set of sensors includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, electronic compass, barometer and photoplethysmography sensor to measure heart rhythm. In addition, there is a receiver satellite navigation system GPS.

LG underline that the gadget provides the ability to work completely independently of the smartphone, including taking calls, or in tandem with it, there is support for Android and iOS. The device is protected from water and dust (IP67) and is available with straps of black, white, grey-blue and brown.
