Microsoft has repeatedly mocked the MacBook and iPad on their presentations and promotional videos, promoting devices running Windows 10. Now in Redmond decided to go with the other hand – the software giant has launched a trade-in program for users of MacBook and iPad.
Microsoft announced a promotion in which MacBook owners can get a voucher for 550 euros. It can be spent on the purchase of the first company laptop Surface Book. The action takes place in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
In addition to the MacBook in the program can participate the iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets and notebooks with Intel Core. In addition, the exchange and the Microsoft device — any Surface, except Surface Pro 4.
Most Microsoft willing to pay for a MacBook — up to 550 euros, depending on condition. For the iPad the company offers up to € 325 for the laptop with the Intel Core processor — 225 Euro, for Samsung Galaxy Tab up to EUR 200. The tablet Surface is estimated in the range of from 125 Euro (Surface RT) to 500 Euro (Surface Pro 3).
First the owner offered to place an order for Surface Book. After that, apply for a trade-in, then send your device to Microsoft. The Commission is transferred within 28 days after receiving device. The laptop needs to be marketable and to be no older than 6 years. Display size should not be less than 11.6 inches.
Similar tactics to increase sales, Microsoft has been practicing for a long time. In 2014, the company announced a share exchange iPad for a gift certificate worth $200. Money could be spent on the purchase of tablet PCs Surface RT, Surface Pro or other products in retail stores of the company. In mid-January of this year, Microsoft started taking pre-owned Apple Watch, providing a discount on the purchase smart bracelets Band 2 in the company’s store.
