Yandex.Translator for iOS can now translate websites directly in Safari

Yandex has released a new version of Yandex.Translator for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. A mobile app that has mastered the translation of web sites directly in Safari. Access to new application functionality is in the version 2.8.

Now in Yandex.The translator can translate any website with one of the available languages directly in the browser. It’s enough to open the standard toolbar to “Share” in Safari and select “Interpreter” (previously the button you want to include in the “More” section). After that, Safari will translate the whole page to the selected language.

In addition to native translator for the browser in the Apple app updated interface. If any button on the main screen is inactive, the interpreter shows the prompt — why is it not working and how to fix it.

In total, the app recognizes more than 60 languages. “Yandex.The translator” translates from Russian to English, German, French, Turkish, Italian and Spanish and Vice versa without a Network connection. The program and tells the meanings of individual words, and translates phrases and texts entirely. All that is required in order to translate without the Internet — it pre-download to mobile device data for the desired languages and enable offline mode in settings.

In addition, “Yandex.The interpreter” is able to recognize text from images: it is enough to take a photo or upload a to the app any picture with text and the program will show the translation over the image. The interpreter recognizes the text in 11 languages — English, Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, French and Czech.
