“Yandex.Maps” has received the support of augmented reality

“Yandex.Card” has been updated and received the support of augmented reality based on ARKit.

Augmented reality only works in pedestrian navigation in order to enable it you click on the blue eye icon at the bottom of the screen. It also can be directly run from the card object.

During navigation, using augmented reality, the screen displays route and destination. Below is displayed a map that can be enlarged by clicking once on it. Augmented reality works with iPhone 6s and newer.

One of the main innovations of iOS 11 is augmented reality. The developers have already demonstrated impressive examples of the use of technology ARKit. The iOS update will be released on September 19.
