“Yandex” has released a new mobile application “Walks” for smartphones iPhone. The program offers users a “more than 18,000 beautiful places and 100 ideas for walking” through Russian cities.
In the app description says that it shows “what’s interesting is nearby or in another area” — in the form of a list or points on the map. The user can select one of the attractions, read about her the details and save the point in a section with favorites.
The city is presented in Annex — St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Samara, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk. In each city, the app displays, in the first place, popular tourist attractions, based on the analysis of preferences of travelers (more than 50 million photographs, and more than a million articles that collected and processed the algorithm of the company).
“Yandex.Walks help to discover beautiful places and sights in the cities of Russia. The app shows what is nearby or in another area — in the form of a list of interesting places or points on the map. Every sight you can read, but if something particularly liked to keep this place in your favorites. Get new ideas for walks and learn new things about their city and explore other”.
The user can search for places of interest by name, address or category (parks, museums, temples). In each city, the app offers most popular attractions – the most beautiful places on the results of the analysis of the experiences of travelers who Yandex automatically collects and processes.
