First rumors about a new display in Xiaomi smartphone appeared on Chinese resource Weibo. A forum user reported that a small company Tianma involved in creating displays, working on screens for the next smartphone Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
Later analyst pan Zitang denied this information, noting that Mi MIX 2 will be equipped with a display from another manufacturer. Instead, Tianma will create screens with proportions of 18:9 for the next smartphone Redmi. It is unknown what the smartphone of the Redmi lineup will get a new display.
