Xiaomi introduced the Mi Box set-top box with Android TV, 4K support and a gamepad

Xiaomi introduced a set-top box Mi Box. It works on operating system 6.0 and Android TV allows you to access movies, TV shows and games from Google Play, YouTube and other services.

New set-top box made in the style of Apple TV and is built on a 4-core CPU ARM Cortex-A53 cores with four Cortex‑A53 and accelerator Mali‑450. The device supports playback of 4K video at up to 60 fps and comes with 2 GB DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of flash memory.

Xiaomi Mi Box supports standard HDR10, as well as the Google Cast Protocol that lets you interact with smartphones and tablets. It has HDMI 2.0 a, USB 2.0 and SPDIF, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and has support for Dolby Digital Plus and DTS.

Xiaomi Mi Box comes with working from two AAA batteries Bluetooth remote control with voice control function.

As an additional accessory is the Mi Game Controller gamepad with three-axis gyroscope and a pair of motors for providing powerful and targeted vibration. Thanks to him, the Mi Box could be a game console, although the games under Android TV ported is not too happy.

But most importantly, Xiaomi Mi Box will be the first product of the Chinese manufacturer, which will be officially sold in the us market. It is likely that the device will appear in Europe, otherwise this will take care of third-party online shopping.
