Windows 10 will be released in 7 different versions: Home, Mobile, Pro, Enterprise, Education, Mobile, Enterprise and IoT Core

Microsoft has officially unveiled 7 new editions of the new operating system Windows 10. They will be available after the final release of the OS this summer.

A new software platform, Microsoft will work on computers, tablets, smartphones, gaming consoles and devices, HoloLens, Surface Hub. According to the developers, a different version of Windows 10 will allow to reveal the characteristics of different devices and be able to meet the needs of different categories of users.

In the list of modifications Windows 10: Windows 10 Home — basic version for users of computers, laptops and tablets; Windows 10 Pro version for computers, laptops and tablets with features for small businesses (protection of important data, scripts, remote and mobile working, cloud); Windows 10 Mobile version for smartphones and compact tablets.

Also Microsoft said about Windows 10 Enterprise edition. This version is for a larger business with advanced control over corporate resources. It contains the options required in the field of medium and large businesses. We are talking about a higher level security, improved features, the introduction of applications and services. This version will be distributed to customers under the terms of the license agreement Volume Licensing.

Windows 10 Education based on Windows 10 Enterprise and designed to meet the requirements of educational institutions. It will also be distributed under the terms of Volume Licensing. Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise – Enterprise option for educational institutions corporate version, adapted for mobile devices and touch-enhanced security.

Still have Windows 10 IoT Core, designed for different devices, such as terminals, robots, etc. with specific functions, e.g., for use in payment terminals based on Windows tablets.

On application by Microsoft, Windows 10 will be available in a wide range of users this summer. Owners of devices with Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 will be able to get a free upgrade to the full version of Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 Pro.
