As told in “Vkontakte”, Apple has agreed on an update to our iOS app. The opportunity to listen to the music available through the official client of the social network in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and CIS countries, owners of iOS-devices, you must update the app via the App Store.
“We welcome the return of the ability to listen to music in our app for iPhone. We are talking about 14 million active users of “Vkontakte”, which come in the social network from mobile devices of Apple”, — said the representative of “Vkontakte” Eugene Krasnikov.
According to him, the return of the music section in the app became possible after the signing of the agreement on licensing music content between “Vkontakte” and the world’s largest majors — Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment.
Section with audio has disappeared from the app “Vkontakte” in 2014. Apple requires the social network has removed the tab to access music content. Until today to open it was possible only if you type in the search box address “vk.com/audio”.
In early September, the official app of the social network “Odnoklassniki” for iPhone and iPad section of music. Section with the audio disappeared from the apps also in 2014.
