On Wednesday, Microsoft initiated a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1 to Windows 10. Previously it was known that the update will be unlicensed versions of “Windows”, however, they will turn to pirated versions of Windows 10. It was reported that users will see on the screen watermark. It was also noted about the limited possibilities for personalization platform.
However, a number of users in the Network are informed that they have successfully updated their operating systems Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 and got activated version of Windows 10. The presence of the key even allows them in the future to perform a clean installation of the system.
Apparently, if users were able to “illegally” enable legacy OS, and Windows 10 is activated. Describes instances when updated nonactivated system, and the result became activated Windows 10. However, it happens randomly and regularity here it is hard to find, as other users have received the Windows 10 without activation. Probably all depends on how you were hacking the OS.
Thus, it is unknown whether the pirates got a legal Windows 10 by mistake, or Microsoft will calculate these.
In Redmond, meanwhile, warn that the use of pirated software is punishable by law and carries risks. “Unlicensed software results in high risk of exposure c malware, fraud, leakage of personal information, degraded performance or failure”, — declare in the company.
Certainly Microsoft was not going to allow for the possibility of making a pirate version of Windows in license, but given the fact that the company has not been able to bring clarity on the issue of the update, this is not surprising.
