UBS: iPhone sales in China 7 was lower than iPhone 6s last year

Sales of iPhone 7 in the Chinese market was weaker than its predecessor, the iPhone 6s at the time of release. This is stated in the research company UBS.

“Interest in the iPhone 7 was pretty cool. The survey showed distributors that sales of the new smartphone iPhone 7 is weaker than the iPhone 6s immediately after its release,” said UBS analyst Stephen Minullovich.

He also noted that Apple begins to cede market share to local smartphone manufacturers. According to Mikulovich, the Apple brand is still strong, but difficult access to the App Store.”

As noted by CNBC, China is the largest market for Apple products, providing more than 20% of its revenue. In particular, the promotion of the iPhone in the local market provided significant growth for Apple in recent years.

Last week it was reported that the iPhone 7 in China began to report problems with connectivity in the new smartphones. Complaints about the weak signal and interference calls flooded the Chinese social network.

Three days after the problem was made public, Apple released an iOS update 10.0.3, which solved the problem with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
