Company TSMC is preparing to launch serial production of the new processors Apple A11, reports Economic Daily News, citing informed sources. The first batch of chips will start to arrive collectors Apple in April 2017.

It is reported that TSMC adjusts its production capacity to manufacture 50 million copies of the Apple A11 by July of this year. These chips will be used in the iPhone 8. Based processors will be based on 10-nanometer manufacturing process FinFET and packaging technology chipset InFO (integrated fan-out).

This year, as you know, marks 10 years since the market introduction of the first iPhone, so still waiting for Apple to introduce the model in a new design with radical changes and technologies. One of the innovations should be a new energy-efficient processor Apple A11.

The transition to the technological process of 10-nm will not only improve the performance and density of transistors, which gives the possibility to integrate in the chip more functional blocks, but also reduces the load on the battery of the mobile device. The average reduction of energy consumption, according to some, will be 35%.

Another innovation flagship iPhone will be completely glass shell and OLED screen. Earlier it became known that the transition to the new display technology may be partial, because the suppliers simply do not cope with the volumes of supply at the initial stage.
