Through the Skype application for iOS you can now send money

With PayPal integration, people from 22 different countries have the opportunity to send money to family and friends using the Skype app for iOS.

This update not only adds new functionality to Skype but also, due to the fact that the number of downloads of this application around the world exceeded 1 billion, greatly expands the audience reach PayPal.

How to send money via Skype

In order to use this feature, you must ensure that the smartphone is the latest version of the application. Then select “Search” in the top menu bar and click “Send money”. You can then enter the amount you want to send and confirm the transaction.

In the US, sending money is free in that case, if you use a debit card or PayPal. In the case of credit cards will have to pay 30 cents and plus, 3.4% of any transaction.

Today payments via Skype available to residents of the United States, England, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia and Spain.

If you haven’t downloaded Skype, you can do so for free in the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

Payments in applications

Skype is not the only service that support payments in the app. Starting with iOS 11, Apple will add a direct payments using the Apple Pay Cash. PayPal, which supports the new Skype update also offers its own app Venmo.
