The world’s first smart bracelet to measure the level of hydration has collected on Kickstarter almost $900 000 [video]

Kickstarter has successfully raised funds the world’s first smart bracelet, the ability to define “water level” in the body in case of dehydration notify owner that it’s time to drink liquids. Hoping to get $50,000 to launch the LVL, the authors of the project has already raised almost $900 000.

Unlike analog LVL is able to monitor not only the heart rate or steps taken, but also to determine the level of hydration of the body. Measurement of the latter indicator is performed using new sensor of infrared radiation, which has developed over 4.5 years.

LVL sensor operates in the near infrared range. Unlike conventional sensors operating in the green part of the spectrum, the new sensor shines through deeper tissue, which allows not only to assess the level of hydration, but also much more accurate to measure heart rate.

In addition to water-level LVL the bracelet can count steps taken and calories burned, to determine the sleep quality (available “smart alarm clock”) and even the mood of the user this is all of the above information and a special algorithm. Data is stored in the memory of the bracelet, and also synchronize with mobile devices on iOS and Android. On a single charge bracelet works up to 4 days. The degree of protection is IP67, and it weighs 50 g.

Activity tracker not only counts the steps but also distance, stairwells and other types of activity, information is used to operate the system personal “smart coach.”

The creators of the smart bracelet are planning to start selling LVL in June 2017 at a price of $199. Currently on Kickstarter are still available lots at the cost of $129 for single, $238 for two or $495 for five bracelets LVL. The fundraiser ends in 15 days.
