The results of the GeekBench tests, the iPhone 7 Plus confirmed the presence of 3 GB of RAM and record breaking performance

The developers of the benchmark GeekBench has provided confirmation of the information about the amount of RAM in the new 5.5-inch Apple smartphone. Information revealed the latest version of the Toolkit to test the performance of mobile devices.

So, based on the specs of iPhone 7 Plus, the smartphone has 3 GB of RAM. This is 1 GB more than its predecessor but smaller than the iPad Pro with 4 GB of RAM.

It is noteworthy that the benchmark shows only two processor cores, although the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with Quad-core A10 SoC Fusion. As told by Phil Schiller at the presentation of smartphones, it combines two high-power cores running almost twice faster than the iPhone 6, and two high-performance cores, which can consume 5 times less energy than high-power core.

In Fusion A10 is a new architecture, so it can work faster when you need high performance, and economical, when the power device is not so critical for tasks.

The graphics performance has also increased: now it is almost three times higher than the iPhone 6. “The new architecture makes the Fusion A10 powerful processor in the history of smartphones,” said Apple. The processor provides longer battery life than any iPhone.

According to the results of the benchmark, the iPhone 7 Plus is the most powerful iOS device Apple, outpacing the iPad Pro’s performance with upgraded A9X chip. In the latest version of GeekBench the new flagship showed a record result of 3233 points in single-core and 5363 points in multi-core test modes.
