The public chamber addressed to the General Director of Apple Tim cook asking to check the quality of the goods manufactured by the company. It is reported RSN citing the head of the Commission on social policy, labour relations and quality of life OP Vladimir Slepak.
The reason for the appeal was the complaint of the inhabitant of Volgograd Anna Krastanova. She claims she purchased it two years ago, the official supplier of iPhone 4s rusty and lost consumer qualities.
“They can use, you can call. But I’m afraid. You never know what, if there are any battery drip. This corrosion on your phone has now become even more. Maybe this rust threatens my health,” said “Russian news service” Anna Krastanova. Rust, according to her, appeared, after the expiration of the warranty period.
Krastanova asked for help from the Public chamber. In Commission on social policy, labour and the quality of life of citizens of the Public chamber responded to the request of the Complainant and wrote a letter to Apple.
“Violation of consumer rights with regard to purchasing expensive items that does not match the declared value because of the poor quality of the materials used in the manufacture of the product,” — said the representative of the Public chamber Vladimir Slepak.
“We know how serious attention to Tim cook personally attached to the reputation of the company, and asked the head of Apple to conduct an audit of our appeal,” — said the activist.
The inhabitant of Volgograd does not exclude that if Apple does not respond in any way, you can file them in court. “We are only at the start, and I’m not ruling out filing a lawsuit against Apple. Maybe many users have a similar situation with the phone,” she said.
Average price for iPhone 4s in official Apple stores in Russia today is 17 000.
