The production of AirPods in limited quantities starts in December

As reported on Friday analysts at investment Bank Barclays, the company will begin manufacturing of branded in-ear headphones in December 2016. Initial supplies will be very limited and will not exceed 10-15 million devices. Depending on the demand for AirPods, it can lead to deficiency.

“We do not consider possible the delivery of the product before it is ready, and we need a little more time before the AirPods will be ready for our customers,” said Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller. Apple has not provided any technical reason for the delay nor a new date for the start of sales of AirPods.

In early November, the Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News wrote that wireless headphones Apple may be delayed until early next year. “Supplier Inventec expects to start deliveries of AirPods in January 2017,” – said in the publication.
