The Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.2 on the approach

On Tuesday, Apple released an update iOS 9.2, which fixed some bugs and brought new features. Jailbreak for the new OS and previous version of iOS 9.1 does not exist. But the situation will change in the near future.

According to a famous new EverythingApplesPro, at the disposal of the hacker group Pangu there is a solution that allows you to perform untethered jailbreak beta versions of iOS iOS 9.1 and 9.2. They didn’t make the release, since waiting for the release of the update.

“Pangu is a Windows utility running on beta versions of iOS 9.1, iOS 9.2. They waited for Apple to release iOS 9.2 to ensure that no vulnerabilities will not be closed,” he wrote.

In October Pangu has released a tool for hacking iOS 9, but soon thereafter released an update of iOS 9.1, which Apple has fixed vulnerability used by the hackers to create a jailbreak exploit Pangu9. Since then, the developers have several times updated the app, but the long-awaited support for iOS 9.1 and it still has not appeared.

It’s been two days since the release of iOS 9.2, from Pangu, however, there has been no news. Obviously, the hackers pulled his release so Apple didn’t manage to close in iOS 9.2 vulnerabilities that they found in iOS 9.1 and test versions of the new operating system. But why are they waiting now? There is an assumption that attackers need time to test the new edition and Pangu iOS 9.2 before releasing the public version.

Based on previous releases, the jailbreak for iOS 9.2 can go out on the weekend – Saturday or Sunday. In any case, the owners of jailbroken devices do not rush to install the update. In Apple’s history there was no incident, when hackers wouldn’t crack iOS. However, users should wait Pangu9 before moving to iOS 9.2 to not fear that the jailbreak tweaks will no longer work.
