Popular Russian messenger Viber announced the update official client to support the latest Apple technologies. In the changelog for the release index 5.8 declared compatible with 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus and multi-window mode on the iPad. In addition, the app got a gallery of media files that help you navigate through photos and videos.
Module 3D Touch is the main innovation of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Pressing with force on the Viber icon from the home screen leads to the conclusion the quick access toolbar. With its help, you can go to one of the active chat, or to write a new message. New multiple Windows Viber allows you to interact on iPads with other programs without closing the client.
Among other changes the client should note detailed information about the message: now in group chats, you can see who viewed the message and who liked it. New media gallery (enabled in preferences) brings together all photos and videos sent in chat.
In a previous update Viber the app got the ability to send self-destructing messages/photos/videos in the style of Snapchat. The function can be activated for any conversation in Viber by pressing “+” and the button “Send Wink”. Enabling this option will starts the shooting mode photo or video, which will automatically disappear from the timeline after a specified period of time. The user can choose 1, 3, 7, or 10 seconds. To “disappearing” frame you can add a caption.
Another interesting innovation of Viber has become the setting time of file storage. Now users can choose, how many will be stored in the device memory photos and videos. The option is located under More –> Settings –> Multimedia –> Save the file. Messenger allows you to store content week, month, year or all time.
According to VTSIOM, messenger Viber is the most popular means of communication in Russia. According to statistics of the organization, prefer Viber 10% of the Russian users.
