A new generation of “smart” Samsung TVs will include similar functionality to set-top boxes Apple TV and Google Chromecast. This became known thanks to the updating of the Samsung Smart View app for iPhone and iPad.
At present, the application Smart View allows you to broadcast to the TV screen videos, music and photos in memory of the mobile device. New TVs of the South Korean company will be able to display video directly from the various services running on iPhone and iPad.
Judging by the screenshots, users will have access to YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu. Also, the new version includes tab TV Plus: users no longer have to wait for TV shows and TV series: they get it by simply including this section.
“One of our main priorities is always striving to provide consumers with what they would like to obtain from our products, — answered the journalists’ question Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display division of Samsung Electronics. — Therefore we continue to develop Smart TV, expanding the user experience.
In addition, Smart View allows you to use iPhone as a remote to control a TV.
It is expected that televisions with support for the new features Samsung Smart View will be presented at CES 2017.
