Putin signed a law regulating the activities of the messengers. This was reported “Interfax” yesterday.
The document was adopted by the State Duma on 21 July this year and approved by the Federation Council on July 25.
The law introduces the concept of “messenger” and indicates responsibilities for these types of applications. Information about bonuscom room may be transmitted to third parties only with the consent of the user.
The messengers who had received a demand from Roskomnadzor, shall be obliged within one day of receipt to limit the ability to use the messenger.
And that should be able the messenger? In the law about this is also written to ensure the confidentiality of transmitted messages; the possibility of failure to receive messages from another user of the application; the transferability of electronic communications, at the initiative of government agencies in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The law should enter into force on 1 January 2018.
