The impressive career of Tim cook in 90 seconds

In August 2011 Tim cook took over as head of Apple, succeeding company founder Steve jobs. Prior to that, he served as production Director of the company. The British newspaper the Telegraph showed 90 seconds career of the current Director General of the “fruit” of the Corporation.

Tim cook was born November 1, 1960 in the town of Robertsdale, Alabama. His father, Donald, worked at the shipyard, and her mother, Geral’dina, was a housewife. Cook studied at the school of Robertsdale, and was the second student in the class.

The future head of Apple graduated from high school in 1978. Enrolled in Auburn University in Alabama, graduating in 1982 with a bachelor of industrial engineering, in 1988 graduated from the Fuqua school of business Duke University, received a master’s degree in business management.

After training, the cook immediately began work on a specialty – he was hired by IBM, where he reached the position of Director on the implementation of the North American sales region. In his position, he was responsible for production delivery in the Americas.

IBM Tim cook has worked for 12 years. He then for six months worked in companies Compaq, serving as Vice President, corporate materials, and then was hired by Steve jobs and joined Apple. Hero movie helped the former Apple CEO for two months in 2004, when he was treated for pancreatic cancer.

“My most important thing in life was one decision decision to join Apple,” cook said in almost 15 years, after working in corporations, speaking to students at Auburn University at graduation. But the decision to join the Corporation was not a simple cook started work in early 1998, even before before the company introduced the iMac, iPod, iPhone or iPad and when the company’s profit fell. Cook said that he was dissuaded from this work, because Apple’s future looked bleak.

As Vice President of Apple Tim cook was responsible for sales and operations, including service and technical support. In 2007, he was appointed chief operating officer. In 2009 cook again helped jobs within a few months, when he took a leave of absence because of upcoming liver transplant.

In August 2011, cook became the new CEO of Apple, succeeding Steve jobs – former CEO and company founder, who died in October 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

Just five minutes of conversation with jobs, I already wanted to forget about the logic and caution and go to work at Apple, recalled Tim cook.
